District 4, McLean Little League, are the 2009 Virginia State Little League Softball Champions!
The girls of District 1, Washington County Little League, put up a hard fight, but were unable to hold off
the strong District 4 team. McLean held their opponents scoreless through the State Tournament,
while scoring 65 runs of their own in 5 games.
McLean Little League will represent Virginia State in the
2009 Little League Softball Southeastern Regional Tournament,
which is being held in Ceredo-Kenova, West Virginia, beginning Thursday, July 30.
